Shipping & Delivery Policy
Availability: We ship out most items from our Universal City warehouse.,
We will ship normally within 1 to 3 business days of your order. Some of our products ship directly from the manufacturer
or distributor. Products from other vendors usually take an extra 2-7 business workdays for
processing before it is shipped. On some occasions we may not stock certain items in our
warehouse or stores, in which case we order them in from our vendors, which may delay
shipping up to an additional two to six weeks or more depending on the availability of the
product. Custom-made items such as inserts for cabinets, etc. ship when they are completed.
Inserts can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks.
Shipping Rates: All qualifying orders greater than $49 ship FREE Freight. All other shipping rates are calculated by size, and weight of package and distance to your address. Certain Sale Items, Special Orders, Drop Shipments, and Freight intensive items need to be discussed with our customer service team as they do not qualify for free shipping/freight. During sitewide free shipping events, the above conditions and restrictions will still apply.
Ship-To Addresses: Please note that UPS cannot ship to PO Boxes. If you wish to have your
order shipped to a PO Box, please select USPS shipping if it is available for your order.
Otherwise please enter a physical street address for UPS shipping. Please enter a physical street
address if your order qualifies for Free ground shipping. By not doing so will prolong your
delivery and can incur additional charges.
Shipping Addresses: Due to fraud concerns, the following items will not be shipped to an address that is different from the billing address: Sewing Machines, Quilting Machines, Embrodiery machines, quilting tables or frames, Sergers, Overlocks and/or Coverstitch machines.
Carriers: Most orders we will ship via UPS, FedEx, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight or USPS.
We do not take requests for the shipping carrier on orders that qualify for Free shipping. Please
make sure that you give us an accurate street address otherwise this could cause a delay in
delivery as well as some unexpected delivery charges. Delivery quotes are for business days
only. Shippers do not ship on Saturday or Sunday and do not count those days in quotes.
Tracking Information: Furniture and some machines that are dropped shipped from our
vendors will generally come with a tracking number. As soon as this information is given to
Grome’s Sewing Machine Co. we will pass it on to you via email. It is important that you
provide us with an accurate email address so that the carrier will be able to reach out to you prior to delivery.
International Orders: At this time, we are only shipping to the USA to exclude California.
Free Shipping: We ship many of our items with Free ground shipping. Free ground shipping isincluded in the Continental 48 States on most orders over $49.00. All other orders will be
charged the actual shipping charges from our warehouse to your door. Shipping days are
business days. This excludes weekends and holidays.
Freight Shipping:
- We want heavy-item orders to go as smoothly as possible, please read the following
specifications and conditions for delivery of cabinets, assembled industrial machine tables, and
large embroidery machines.
- Sewing furniture ships via truck line or FedEx Freight. We process all orders as “signature
required”. It is imperative that someone be home at time of delivery.
- Someone needs to be at the address provided to receive and sign for the product when delivery
takes place. The freight company will call you to inform you of the delivery date so that you can
plan accordingly. Provide at least two phone numbers to ensure that the shipping company can
contact you to let you know when your order will be delivered.
- Delivery is to the end of your drive or to the street front of your home. The driver is not
obligated to remove the cabinets/machines from the boxes or to get the furniture inside your
house. You may need to have appropriate assistance and/or equipment available at delivery to get
the product inside your house. In the event you have paid for in-home delivery, such as: FedEx
Premium Delivery Service that is offered through Arrow Cabinets then they will deliver into
your home. Please note, other furniture companies we order from do not offer this type delivery.
- When you sign the delivery receipt, it is in fact a legal contract that states you received the
product in acceptable condition. Always inspect your shipment before signing for it. It is best to
completely remove your shipment from its containers regardless of the condition of the box,
inspect it thoroughly, and if the cabinet is damaged refuse the shipment. This is very important,
because once you have signed for your shipment it is your responsibility if it is damaged. If you,
the Customer signs for the product in good condition and the product is damaged, only
replacement parts can be purchased at the customer's expense, and it is the customer's
responsibility to install any replacement parts. Grome’s Sewing Machine Co. will do everything
we can to help you through this, should this happen. Most cabinet companies make it easy for
you to inspect the product without tearing the complete box. Usually, it involves removing the
top cover of the box. In the event the sides are torn, it is best to remove the box completely.
Make sure to save your boxes until you are certain that your merchandise is in good condition.
- Remember to call us before signing for the product if you do not understand this delivery
agreement. If there is a problem, please call us within 24 hours to report a problem. We can be

Backordered Items
If an item you order is back ordered or out of stock, your order will remain active in our system until the item comes back into stock or the product is discontinued. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is ready to be shipped, unless you paid for your order with PayPal or your order is sent in multiple shipments. Per PayPal policy the entire order total will be charged when you submit your order when using PayPal as a payment method. In the event that your order is split into multiple shipments, we will charge the full order total when the first shipment is ready to ship. If a part is discontinued, we reserve the right to cancel the discontinued item and ship the remainder of your order.
Use Tax:
We are only responsible for collecting the sales tax on all purchases that are shipped to the following state: TEXAS. Any customers that purchase any items from our website that are shipped outside of this state are legally responsible for reporting their purchases and are responsible for Use Tax on their purchases. For questions, see your state tax rules and the Dept. of Revenue. We are in no way responsible for any unreported use tax on internet purchases and/or any sales tax on orders placed and shipped outside of this list of states. By purchasing from our sites, you accept this responsibility.
Furniture Delivery
Arrow and Kangaroo:
Kangaroo and Arrow cabinets can be fully assembled & can be picked up in-store or delivered by FedEx Premium Delivery Service for an additional charge.
Please note that there may be a couple of cabinets that do not quality for assembly by the
company and can only be shipped RTA (ready to assemble).
Prices do vary depending on whether cabinets are assembled. Anything shipped RTA (ready to
assemble) is Free Freight.
FedEx Premium Delivery Service is Available for $399. a $699 Value. Two items at $399 if
More than three items being shipped there is an additional cost of $99. per additional items.
What is FedEx Premium Delivery Service: FedEx Premium Delivery Service is a delivery team that will bring your cabinet(s) and accessory
items into your room of choice, 1 flight upstairs or 1 flight downstairs. They will unpackage the cabinet and
remove the packaging.
RTA Delivery: Ready to Assemble Kangaroo and Arrow cabinets can be shipped to your home for no additional charge.
Americana Luxury:
Americana Luxury:
Americana Luxury cabinets are fully assembled & and can only be delivered by FedEx Premium Delivery Service for an additional fee. Assembled Americana
Luxury cabinets can be shipped to your home FedEx Premium Delivery for $399. A $699 Value.
Two items at $399 if more than three items there is an additional cost of $99. per additional
items.
Horn of America:
Horn cabinets are fully assembled and can be picked up in-store or delivered.
Horn cabinets can be picked up in store or shipped via Outside Front Door Delivery to your
home.
Outside Front Door Delivery: A delivery team will unload your furniture and other items at a
safe place outside your home: such as a driveway, front door entry, patio, garage, or other flat,
level surface with no lifting up or down stairs.
