Have you ever sewn upside down? What is the purpose? Did you know you can use heavier threads, narrow ribbon, etc., to create beautiful decorative stitches with the Creative Bobbin case or learning how to place these heavier items into your bobbin? Learn how to ?work the magic? to add additional texture and prettiness to a plain piece of fabric.

Basic Sewing is an ongoing class that meets on Monday nights. It's a class for beginners just learning to use a sewing machine or for intermediates who just need a little help with a project. Projects vary from simple clothing to quilting to home d'cor items such as pillows or simple curtains. It's a little different mix every week but always entertaining. The only rule is to have fun!

In this class you will learn to use your domestic sewing machine to beautifully enhance your quilt with free motion quilting designs.

Introduction to Version 4 of Quilters Creative touch. We will review useful vocabulary. Give some hands-on time to loading the quilting sandwich. We will discuss how to stitch basic pattern in the advanced mode. This mode allows for more options while using basic patterns and will be a good stepping point to build upon.

Pfaff /Juki /Janome Basic Computerized Machines If you purchased a computerized machine from us and need a little help learning the basics, then you'll want to make sure to attend this "mastering the basics" class. In this class we will cover proper threading, winding a bobbin, straight sewing, blind hemming, buttonholes, overcasting, applique, quilting and so much more.

We explore the various modules, wizards and features within the Premier+2 Ultra Software. Each month we spotlight one or two modules, wizards, or techniques as we investigate the "in's and it's" of this wonderful software as we design a small project which can be stitched out at home.

Students will continue working on the August Stars quilt. This fun project from Jaybird Quilts uses 2-1/2? strips to make diamonds which join together to make beautiful stars with no inset seams. It?s not too late to get in on this beautiful quilt! Pick up the pattern for cutting directions and join in the fun!

Learn several fun techniques with your serger to create a decorative wreath to enhance any holiday or d?cor in your home. If your serger is not capable of doing a particular technique, it will be completed with the sewing machine.
